Sora Labs is a product engineering studio. We work with founders and small product teams who need software built properly the first time, and we build our own products alongside client work, because it keeps us honest about what shipping actually costs.
Four things we’d tell you anyway.
The spec is the work
Most failed projects were mis-specified, not mis-built. We charge for the shaping sprint separately so there is no incentive to hurry through the part that decides everything else.
Own something
A studio that has never had to operate its own software at 3am optimises for the demo. We run our own product, pay our own infrastructure bill, and carry our own pager.
Say the unwelcome thing early
If your idea has a problem, the cheapest moment to hear it is before the invoice. We would rather lose the project than take money for something we think will not work.
Leave, properly
The end state we design for is that your team no longer needs us. Handover is a deliverable, not a courtesy.
What we don’t have yet.
Sora Labs is new. We do not have a wall of client logos, and we are not going to borrow one. What we have is a product we built end to end and run in production, a process we publish in full, and a standing offer: if the shaping sprint convinces you we are wrong for the job, you keep the spec and we part ways.
